To provide a professional and relaxing quality massage service for each guest.

This person believes in a holistic approach to massage and spa treatments, and is comfortable in communicating with guests about their self-care, diet, body posture, stress management, etc.

 Has excellent knowledge of the body, its muscles, systems, and structure, as well as how to design massage treatments to reflect the individual needs of the guests they serve.

 Believes learning never ends and is committed to ongoing education.

 Knows or commits to learning how to use Aveda skin and body care products within massage/spa treatments.

Description of Duties

 Provides professional, quality, relaxing massage services for spa guests.

 Is willing to perform all treatment listed on the Spa Menu and is committed to learning how to perform each treatment consistently.

 Believes self-care is an essential part of the guest experience and commits to educating spa guests on the importance of self-care at home.

 Incorporates retail sales into treatments.

 Commits to the five spa rituals in each massage/spa treatment.

 Maintains extensive knowledge of Aveda products and massage services.

 Participates in regularly scheduled massage team meetings and cross-training opportunities.

 Participates in Aveda Advanced Trainings and shows and implement practices that are taught.

Esthetician

Position is:                 Part-time Tuesday - Friday (primarily evenings) and Saturday.  We will be opening on Mondays very soon.

 This is a person who believes in a holistic approach to facial treatment, and is comfortable with such general topics as: how diet affects the skin, stress and its effects on the skin and body, wellness techniques as they relate to skin care, and how the use of Aveda products can contribute to the overall well-being of a guests skin.

 Has a servants heart with an awareness of the importance of intention in their work on a daily basis.

 Has excellent knowledge of the skin, its structure and functions and can adapt each treatment according to the needs of the guest.

 Takes care of his/her own skin care and well-being needs by having good skincare practices. As well, practices daily routines that support a holistic approach to life.

 Believes learning never ends and is committed to continuing advanced skin care education, both as provided by the employing spa and self-study. 

 Willing to perform all services listed on the Spa Menu and commits to keeping updated on how to do each treatment with consistency.

 Commits to the spa rituals in each facial treatment (Sensory Journey, Opening/Closing Rituals, Aromatic Steam Towel, Scalp and Foot Rituals, and Finishing Touch, Hand Massage, & Stress Relieving Ritual (massage chair)).  This is our biggest point of difference.  These put Wabi Sabi and Aveda in a category no other Salon in Navarre can compete with. 

 Maintains extensive knowledge of Aveda products, as well as all facial and waxing services.

 Participates in regularly scheduled esthetic and spa team meetings and cross-training opportunities.

 Participates in Aveda Advanced Trainings and shows and implement practices that are taught.  

 Utilize slow times to incorporate self-study, Aveda approved education, and/or practice of spa rituals.  Offer spa rituals complementary to retail and/or salon customers.
